The End of the Good Life (In Progress)

I'm presently working on my next book project titled "The End of the Good Life" which examines the instrumental conception of life and the forms of hierarchy, subordination, and domination implicit in such a concept. Organized into three chapters—The End of the Good Life, The Soul of Technopolitics, and The Anarchy of the Ethical—the project begins with a critique of Aristotle's ethical and political philosophy, and then draws links to contemporary technocratic discourses embraced by figures such as Alex Karp and Peter Thiel which advance an instrumental reduction of life. The book concludes with an anarchist conception of the ethical formed on the basis of a "life without measure," which draws upon Foucault's last lectures.

The manuscript is expected to be completed in Summer of 2025.
